Pulse 3-16

What does 3-16 mean?

You only need 3 ceramic materials to replicate this 16 shades of the Vita shade guide. This concept was made possible by the development of a ceramic powder whose basic shades correspond to the 3 basic shades of the Vita shade guide with the translucency that facilitates the desired shade effect being created from the depth of the restoration by way of the fluorescent opaque or liner. Opalescence elements integrated into the base material create a natural appearance. Where the ceramic veneer must be thinner, e.g. in the cervical or occlusal areas, the fired base material underneath increases the chromatic effect. Where the ceramic veneer is thicker, such as near cusps or in the proximal region, incident light will be scattered by the slightly opalescent effect of the ceramic material, which appears brighter and less chromatic. Overall, the resulting veneered restoration will correspond to the desired shade in terms of its base chroma and harmoniously integrates into the oral environment thanks to the translucency of the Pulse 3-16 dentins, which will only require a minimum of customization.

Controlled layering using Pulse 3-16

This revolutionary technique divides up the process of crown and bridge fabrication into individual steps, eliminating problems of concurrency during the build-up process. The workflow for the three most important aspects of quality, namely form, function and shade, will be divided into controllable individual steps, greatly improving the overall result of the dental technician’s efforts. Reducing the number of ceramic materials required to a necessary minimum and rapid implementation of the wax-up are welcome side effects to complement the other benefits listed.
